it's about this kid who doesn't know he's a wizard until he gets a magical acceptance letter to magic school
it's in this bigass castle called hogwarts and his shitty aunt and uncle try to keep him from going but a giant shows up and takes him there anyway
from there he meets all his best friends forever etc etc
but at the school there are 4 houses and you get sorted into one when you're a first year and stay all 7 years
they all have different personality traits so the sorting hat knows where to put you when it listens to your thoughts
gryffindor: bravery, chivalry - will fight no matter what the cost
hufflepuff: just, loyal, hardworking - values loyalty & fairplay
ravenclaw: NERDS - values intelligence and knowledge the most
slytherin: cunning, ambitious - "ends justify the means"
